Another 1,000+ New Agent Branches for Zoopla

Zoopla.co.uk has announced that, in its first quarter of this year, the company has added nearly 1,200 new estate and letting agent branches to its website, bringing its total number of paying members to almost 12,000. Making this the largest quarterly increase in advertisers for the property portal since its launch four years ago. Zoopla now has 600,000 property listings available on its website. Findaproperty ‘Rap for a Cause’ Giveaway Reaches 3m People

Mix ‘rap’ and a ‘good cause’ together, and you get FindaProperty’s ‘Rap for a Cause’ which has had an incredible response since its launch. Zoopla Gives Money Away

UK property portal Zoopla.co.uk has been in the news quite a bit since the ringing in of the New Year was. Value of UK residential property soars by £1.8 trillion in past decade

Value of UK's private housing rose from 2001 to 2011 by £1.8 trillion, says research

The value of the UK’sprivate housing stock rose by £1.8 trillion, some 84%, in the decade to 2011, according to new research from the Halifax. The value of the housing stock at the end of 2011 is estimated at £3.9 trillion, up from £2.1 trillion in 2001. The increase of £1.8 trillion over the decade is equivalent to £68,500 per household in the owner occupied and private rented sectors in the UK. Student accommodation leads the UK property market

According to the latest industry reports, UK student accommodation continues to outpace the rest of the property market as investors continue to take advantage of a shortage of university housing places and a growing number of wealthy overseas students. CBRE, a world leading real estate advisor recently released a report that stated £863 million was invested into student accommodation in 2011.This figure represents a significant increase compared with 2010 which saw £770 million invested into student accommodation and a staggering 220% increase on the amount invested in 2009. Rental portal Citylets has cemented its strong Scottish credentials by sponsoring the country’s biggest Hogmanay celebrations, now in its 19th year and running from 30 December 2011 until 1 January 2012.
