The international home products retailer Ikea has come up with a creative way to advertise a large number of products online while drawing attention to one of its core values: helping its customers to make the most of their space. Ikea states that its target market is people occupying studio flats or one or two-bedroom urban apartments, where space is at a premium. “People bring design to life” is the slogan used by IKEA to promote Milan Design Week 2012. Graffiti and street art enthusiasts will surely recognize the Banksy and Obey inspired stenciled-posters over its ads. Found all over the subway stations in Milan, the black and white additions do a great job in complimenting the colorful IKEA posters and transforming them into eye-catching messages.
